56. ART COLOGNE vom 16. bis 19. November 2023 16.11.2023: Preview und Vernissage, Publikumstage vom 17. bis 19.11.2023
Neu im Beirat: Designexpertin Gabrielle Ammann Ab 2024 findet die ART COLOGNE zwei Wochen früher statt: 7. bis 10. November 2024
Die ART COLOGNE findet im November 2023 an vier Tagen statt. Die Messe startet am Donnerstag, 16.11.2023, mit Preview und Vernissage. Von Freitag, 17. bis Sonntag, 19.11.2023 ist die Messe für alle geöffnet. Die ART COLOGNE wird 2023 auch räumlich angepasst und wird sich auf zwei Ebenen der Halle 11 im Kölner Messegelände verteilen. Die Halle 11.2 mit ihrer innovativen Besucherführung mit den Sektoren CONTEMPORARY ART und NEUMARKT wird wie 2022 umgesetzt. Die Halle 11.1 mit KLASSISCHER MODERNE sowie NACHKRIEGSKUNST integriert den VIP-Club und gastronomische Angebote.Der im vergangenen Jahr neu eingeführte Sektor ART + OBJECT wird nun wie alle anderen Sektoren der ART COLOGNE ebenfalls durch den Beirat kuratiert. Im Schwerpunkt soll dieser Sektor angewandte Kunst des 20. und 21. Jahrhunderts abbilden und in das Gesamtangebot der Messe eingefügt werden. Als neues Beiratsmitglied konnte die Designexpertin Gabrielle Ammann gewonnen werden.
Mit der neuen zeitgemäßen Tagefolge entspricht die ART COLOGNE auch den Wünschen der Galerien.
Auch die Verleihung des Wolfgang-Hahn-Preises, der von der Gesellschaft für Moderne Kunst am Kölner Museum Ludwig seit 1994 jährlich verliehen wird, wird neu terminiert und findet nun am Freitagabend des Messewochenendes statt.
Ab November 2024 findet die ART COLOGNE zwei Wochen früher statt. Der Termin der ART COLOGNE 2024 ist dann der 7. bis 10. November 2024.

New on the advisory board: design expert Gabrielle Ammann
Starting in 2024, ART COLOGNE will take place two weeks earlier: 7 to 10 November 2024ART COLOGNE is taking place this November 2023 over four days. The art fair starts on Thursday, 16.11.2023, with a preview and vernissage. The event opens to the general public from Friday, 17 until Sunday, 19.11.2023. Changes for the next edition also include the floor plan and layout of ART COLOGNE, which will be distributed over two levels of Hall 11 on the Cologne fair grounds. Hall 11.2, with its innovative visitor orientation introduced last November, with the sections CONTEMPORARY GALLERIES, COLLABORATIONS, and NEUMARKT, will continue. Hall 11.1, with MODERN and POSTWAR ART, will revert back to the layout from 2019 and integrates the VIP Club, Cafe and Restaurant.
The ART + OBJECT section newly introduced last year will now, like all other sections of ART COLOGNE, fall under the auspices of the advisory board. The focus of this section will present Design of the 20th and 21st centuries and the booths will be intergrated into the general floorplan of the art fair. The design expert Gabrielle Ammann has joined the advisory board as the newest member.
These changes have come at the request of the exhibitors.
The presentation of the Wolfgang Hahn Prize, which has been awarded by the Gesellschaft für Moderne Kunst (Society for Modern Art) of Museum Ludwig annually in Cologne since 1994, is also being rescheduled and will now takes place on Friday evening during the course of the art fair.
